Kinhold is a third-person survival and settlement-building game set in a world where nothing is decoration. Every stone, tree, and inch of soil is a real resource sitting in a real place, and once it is taken it stays gone. You play the one character here who does not age, guiding villagers who very much do: raise them, build a settlement that is still standing long after they are not. When the raids start, arm them, fight your enemies and conquer their settlements. Play it solo, or bring a friend along in co-op.
Features
- A fully destructible world. Dig out a hillside and the hillside is gone. Clear a forest for timber and it will not regrow. Your villagers can do it too.
- Explore to unlock resources. Your villagers can only work with what you have found first. Find a seam of iron or gold, and they will mine it for you.
- Villagers who are born, grow, work, and die. You are the constant. Everyone else is temporary, so plan and build a settlement to last generations.
- Arm them and go to war. Turn villagers into warriors, hold off raids on your settlement, or lead your army against someone else’s.
- Death costs you. Respawn at the last bed you slept in, minus your inventory, then go and get your things back.
- Solo or two-player co-op. Explore and go to war with your friends.
On the roadmap
- Water, in a world you can dig anywhere. Less a texture problem than a simulation one.
- Versus mode, settlement against settlement, for when you would rather fight your brother than build with him.
